Game #6: RIVERDOGS 17 Thunder 7

Due to poor weather and field conditions about two weeks ago...the Thunder and Riverdogs met for the first time today at 1pm in a rescheduled game. It was another great day to be at the ball park! Beautiful weather and no threat of rain in the forecast.

On the DEFENSIVE side of things, here are some highlights...

Griffin, Jabril, Lance, Jack S and Jack B did an outstanding job behind the plate! Also, a big shout out to our outfielders for getting the ball into the infield...John, Josh, Benjamin, Jabril, Gavin, Jack B, Lance, Griffin and Jack S! Way to go!!!

1st inning:
Lawson (second) to Luke (shortstop) at second base for out #1.
Lawson had an unassisted play at second for out #2.
Lawson caught an infield fly ball at second for out #3.

2nd inning:
John (pitcher) to Ian (first) for out #1.
Ian had an unassisted play at first for out #2.
Lawson had an unassisted play at second for out #3.

3rd inning:
Josh (pitcher) to Ian (first) for the first out.
Josh caught an infield fly ball at pitcher for the second out.
Josh (pitcher) to Ian (first) for the last out.
A nice 1-2-3 inning.

4th inning:
Lawson (second) to Ian (first) for out #1.
Lawson had a great catch at second for the second out.
Lawson (second) to Ian (first) for the last out.

5th inning:
Luke (shortstop) to Ian (first) for outs 1 and 2.
Lawson (second) to Ian (first) for the third out.

6th inning:
Josh (pitcher) to Ian (first) for out #1.
John (third) to Lawson (second) at second for out #2.
Ian caught a nice fly ball beyond first base to end the game.

Alex: 1-3 with a nice hit to right field and 1 run scored
Lawson: 3-3 with 2 doubles to left center and 3 runs scored
Ian: 3-3 with a homerun over the right field fence, a double, 5 RBI and 3 runs scored
Luke: 3-3 with 2 doubles to left and left center field and 2 runs scored
John: 2-3 with a double to left center, 2 RBI and 1 run scored
Josh: 2-3 with a double to left center that hit a sign, 1 RBI and 2 runs scored
Benjamin: 2-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored
Jabril: 2-3 with 2 doubles (left center that hit a sign and center), 1 RBI and 2 runs scored
Gavin: 1-3
Jack B: 3-3 with 3 RBI and 1 run scored
Lance: 3-3 with 2 RBI
Griffin: 2-2
Jack S: 2-2 with 1 RBI

We are scheduled to have practice this Tuesday, but stay tuned. It will not be at Ephesus Church!

Next game for the Riverdogs is scheduled for this Wednesday against the Scrappers! It's the last game of the 1st half of the season.
