Well, the rain held off tonight and we played the Scrappers for the first time this season! The two 6 year olds on the team, Gavin and Jack S, were team captains for tonight's game.
Here's how we looked DEFENSIVELY...
Jack B, Jabril, Griffin and Lance did a great job catching for the DAWGS! Way to go! Also, nice job in the outfield for the Riverdogs Alex, Luke, John, Josh, Benjamin, Jabril, Gavin, Jack B, Lance, Griffin and Jack S!
1st inning:
Luke (shortstop) to Ian (first) for out #1.
John caught a foul fly ball at third for out #2.
Ian had an unassisted play at first for the 3rd out.
2nd inning:
Lawson (second) to Ian (first) for an out.
3rd inning:
Luke (shortstop) to Ian (first) for an out.
Alex (third) to Ian (first) for the last out.
4th inning:
Lawson (second) to Ian (first) for an out.
Alex (pitcher) to Ian (first) for the last out.
5th inning:
Ian had an unassisted play at first base for out #1.
Ian (first) to Luke (shortstop) at 2nd in a fielder's choice for out #2.
John caught an infield fly ball at pitcher to end the inning.
6th inning:
Lawson caught a fly ball at shortstop for out #1.
Lawson (shortstop) to Ian (first) for another out.
Now for the OFFENSE...
Alex: 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 4 runs scored
Lawson: 3-4 with a double, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored
Ian: 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored
