RIVERDOGS 14 Bats 4

On Tuesday night we played the Bats on Nowell Field and the Dawgs played an impressive defense! Here's how we looked DEFENSIVELY...

1st inning:
Josh (pitcher) to Lawson (second) for out #1
Lawson caught two fly balls back to back for the next 2 outs

2nd inning:
Luke (shortstop) to Lawson (second) for out #1
Then, a great double play...Luke caught a fly ball at shortstop, then threw the ball to Ian (first) to end the inning!

3rd inning:
Luke caught a line drive at shortstop for out #1
Ian had an unassisted play at first for out #2
Lawson caught a fly ball at second for the last out

4th inning:
Luke (shortstop) to Lawson (second) for outs 1 and 2
Ian caught a fly ball at first for out #3

5th inning:
Luke (shortstop) to Lawson (second) for out #1
John (pitcher) to Ian (first) for out #2
Luke (shortstop) to Alex (third) to end the inning

6th inning:
Lawson (second) to Ian (first) for the first out
Luke (shortstop) to Ian (first) for the second out
Luke (shortstop) to Ian (first) to end the game
A nice 1-2-3 inning!

Way to work behind the plate Griffin, Jabril, Jack S and Lance!!!!!!!

Excellent job backing each other up in the outfield and backing up the infield teammates Alex, John, Josh, Benjamin, Jabril, Gavin, Jack B, Lance, Griffin and Jack S!!!!!!

Now for the OFFENSE...

Alex: 4-4 with 1 RBI and 3 runs scored
Lawson: 3-3 with 3 runs scored
Ian: 2-3
Luke: 3-3 with 5 RBI and 1 run scored
John: 2-3 with 1 run scored
Josh: 2-3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored
Benjamin: 2-3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored
Jabril: 2-3 with his first ever HOMERUN at West Raleigh, 4 RBI and 1 run scored
Gavin: 1-3
Jack B: 2-3
Lance: 2-3
Griffin: 2-3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored
Jack S: 1-3 with 1 RBI

Great job RIVERDOGS!!!!

The last game of the regular season is this Saturday at 1pm against the Scrappers! All players must be at Nowell Field to warm up one hour early.
