RIVERDOGS 7 Mudcats 0

It was a GREAT day to be at West Raleigh! Coach Lance and some Backyard Bistro staff was generous enough to have a pancake breakfast and then sold lunches, too. Then, the Dawgs took to the field for a 1pm game against the Mudcats. Many of us had no idea there was going to be some thunder and rain, but wouldn't you know...we had a 20 min delay in the 3rd inning due to weather.

Here's how we played DEFENSIVELY...

1st inning:
Luke (shortstop) to Ian (first) for out #1
Lawson (second) to Luke (shortstop) at second for out #2
Luke (shortstop) to Lawson at second for the last out

2nd inning:
Luke (shortstop) had an unassisted play at second base for an out
Ian caught a pop fly at first for the last out

3rd inning:
Jabril caught a GREAT catch in leftfield for out #1
Josh (pitcher) to Ian (first) for out #2
Lawson (second) to Ian (first) for out #3

4th inning:
Lawson caught a fly ball at second for out #1
Josh (pitcher) to Ian (first) for out #2
Lawson caught another fly ball to end the inning

5th inning:
Ian caught a line drive for the first out at first
Luke (shortstop) to Ian (first) for the last out

6th inning:
Lawson (second) to Luke (shortstop) at second for the first out
Then, a double play to end the inning...Luke caught a fly ball at shortstop and then threw the ball to Ian (first) to get the runner at first out

Great job behind the plate Lance, Jabril, Griffin and Jack S!
