It was a great day to be at West Raleigh for some tournament games! Perfect weather!! We had a 1pm game against the Bats, so the players were in the batting cage by 11:30am.
Coach has always told the players that defense wins ball games! Here's how we looked DEFENSIVELY...
1st inning:
Jack B caught a fly ball out in leftfield for the first out
Lawson had an unassisted play at second for out #2
Ben caught a fly ball out in centerfield for the last out
2nd inning:
Josh through the ball from left centerfield to Lawson (second) for the first out
Ian caught a fly ball at first for an out
3rd inning:
Josh caught an infield fly ball at the pitcher's mound for out #1
Ian had an unassisted play at first for the second out
Lawson (second) to Ian (first) for out #3
4th inning:
Luke (shortstop) to Ian (first) for out #1
John (left centerfield) to Lawson (second) for out #2
Luke (shortstop) to Lawson (second) for the last out
5th inning:
Alex caught a fly ball at pitcher for out #1
Luke (shortstop) to Lawson (second) for out #2
Lawson (second) to Ian (first) to John at third base for the last out
6th inning:
Lawson (second) to Ian (first) for an out
Lawson caught a fly ball at second to end the inning
Way to back up your teammates and get the ball in quickly to the infield Jack B, Alex, John, Josh, Ben, Jabril, Gavin, Lance, Griffin and Jack S!
